Deborah Dobson-Brown

Director of ERG Texas Services

Deborah Dobson-Brown is a leading expert in architectural history and preservation management at ERG, bringing more than 35 years of experience in cultural resources investigations and historic preservation. Her extensive portfolio includes more than 800 Section 106 and NEPA projects across multiple states, the documentation of more than 6,000 state inventory forms, and the preparation of numerous HABS/HAER documentation packages. Renowned for her ability to prepare National Register nominations and interpret preservation law, Deborah also excels in public education. She has conducted workshops and given keynotes on federal preservation guidelines and building restoration. She has also served as an expert legal witness on cultural resource adverse effects on various state and federal projects.

Professional Highlights

  • Using large format film, I photographed Hoover Dam from 2000-2001 to provide a comprehensive overview of the complex prior to the construction of a new bridge that spans the Colorado River.

  • In 1992, I worked with the National Park Service to establish the Keweenaw National Historic Park in Michigan.

  • In my work with five companies throughout the U.S. I built multiple architectural history programs.
